Please join us this May 3rd and 4th, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the National Western Complex for the first-ever Denver Mini Maker Faire! Denver Public Library will be in booth 815, hosting a toy hack - Arc Thrift Stores of Colorado has generously donated a mountain of broken toys, and we're inviting you to make something new and exciting out of them to take home (see what our teens made at our last toy hack here)! You'll also be able to see DPL Connect - our super awesome library-and-hotspot-on-a-bike!
What is a Maker Faire? It's "an annual festival to make, create, learn, invent, craft, hack, recycle, build, think, play and be inspired" - a place to see all the amazing work that people are doing in Denver and the front range, to see full-size R2-D2s and people who make their own chain mail and watch rockets and laser cutters and meet the local Lego club. In short: EVERYTHING AWESOME IN ONE PLACE. It's meant for everyone - families, single mad scientists, babies with remarkably strong motor skills, senior citizens who enjoy lasers, people who like fire and/or robots - so bring the whole family! You'll be able to make your own FrankenToy to take home at our booth, and you'll be able to do all kinds of other neat activities with the other amazing makers who will be there.
You can buy tickets online (they're cheaper in advance!) and get more information about the Faire at their website. We'll see you at booth 815!
